Flamenco: backstage

Flamenco has this way of getting under your skin.  I think it's the mix of the music, the singing, the movements and the costumes.  Of course, these black and white shots don't show the wonderful colours of the costumes, but these grainy images do capture the rawness explicit in every performance.  Flamenco is the dance of gypsies - it is gritty, emotive, evocative.  In that way it's a bit like life, isn't it!
